Based in New York City, Annika’s background in classical music has prepared her for a life in opera and musical theatre through roles such as Maria von Trapp in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The Sound of Music, Christine Daaé in an immersive production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, Eliza Doolittle in Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady, and Zerlina in Mozart's Don Giovanni. She earned her B.A. in Theatre from Ball State University and has trained under operatic/crossover professionals Meghan Picerno, Raquel Suarez-Groen, Rebecca Caine, Dr. Cynthia Dyre-Moellenhoff, Dr. Jon Truitt, and Dr. Cynthia Morrow.
Annika puts community first, believing that everyone holds the power to create opportunities not only for themselves, but for others. She prioritizes creating safe, supportive work environments, and lifting up the voices of those around her. Meaningful, relevant stories (and reimaginings) call her heart.
